Spurs for Pony riders
Please note the below advice from the Australian Dressage Committee:
In the 2015 Australian Dressage Rules re Spurs ADC took across the change that has been made in the 2015 FEI rules with regard to Pony Riders in order to be in line with the FEI.
2.5 j) pony riders, regardless of age, are permitted to wear spurs but if worn they may only be blunt metal spurs and no longer than 3.5cm. Rowels on spurs are not permitted. The length of the spur is measured from the boot to the tip of the spur.
However the ADC has made a decision that "Impuls" and "Soft Touch" Spurs ( horizontal and vertical plane) are also permitted for Pony Riders (as long as they meet the length rule) on the grounds that they do not have a rowel, but have a roll. It will be added into the 2016 Rules for clarification.
