In accordance with NT Government requirements, we have a COVID-19 Safety Plan.
The safety and welfare of our members and the greater equestrian community is our top priority. Easing restrictions and enjoying re-starting equestrian activity in the Territory comes with great responsibility.
When attending our events please observe the following key principles:
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Abide by physical distancing rules and keep a 1.5 metre distance from people, who aren’t known to you.
HYGIENE
Practice good hygiene, including regular hand washing, covering a sneeze or cough with your elbow or a tissue. Avoid physical contacts such as high fives, handshakes, huddles, hugs and kisses.
HEALTH
If you have flu-like symptoms, please stay home. If you present to an activity with flu-like symptoms you may be asked to leave.
The change in the physical distancing requirements means organisations may now be more lenient with regard to meeting physical distancing requirements, where participants are known to each other. This is great news for DDC as we can now have a writer sitting next to the judge in the judges box. However, if you are allocated the job of a writer for an event, and you are not comfortable with close contact, please let our volunteer
co-ordinator know.

WE ARE A GOOD SPORTS CLUB
Sporting clubs such as ours play a significant role in the community and have a responsibility to our members and their families. We have chosen to join over 9000 clubs across Australia taking part in the Good Sports program. Through Good Sports we are committed to managing alcohol responsibly and ensuring smoke free areas, which we believe will help us to provide a healthy, safe and family friendly environment. Together, we are helping inspire a healthier sporting nation.
